haematology love-hate

salam and greeting readers, I really wanna update my blog since last weekend, but life is just too busy to handle with and to be settled, cuz I just moved into a new house.well aware of it, I'll just briefly write.

my journey as a 2nd year MBBS student of CUCMS has just started last week. Alhamdulillah. starting with Haematology block, in which I'll be dealing stuff regarding blood disorders like leukeamia, thalassemia, haemophilia and anaemia, *just to name a few. since it is only a 3week course, and isn't that easy, the lectures are quite packed. Incoming the Clinical Skills Training, Pengajian Islam as well as I'll be joining Wataniah in this sem as my extra co-curricular activities. herm, still asking for opinion but seems like Wataniah is the only option left, other than joining the Young MERCY *in which i didn't have interest in it that much.

this week is the 2nd week of Haematology, and a mid-course assessment on Friday which is today,*I had my exam this morning before we're going for our Raya break. all I can say.. I've done my best and let God do the rest.

Imagine... I've been spending half of my fasting month at home, and the new semester re-open just in the middle of this Holy month, have to go back to college for two weeks, *in which I'm very half-hearted to come back...sit for the mid-course exam while everyone is busying themselves to prepare for Raya, and I can only go back to my hometown on the Raya eve, a night before Raya strikes. what do you expect?

Pathetic.

being a medical student ain't that easy.
or is it being me ain't that easy?

I guess, I'll go for the second one.


anyhow...
he's back from Alpha Routine.
48 days deployment.
for a starter, for a 1st timer.
I'm proud of myself I've come until this far.
at least, it prepares me for far more worst condition in the future.
yeah.. it awaits me.
I guess he prepares me well not to pampered me too much of lots of spending time together, and thus, when he's away.. I didn't feel lost that much. I survived.
plus I believe in one quote ; distance only makes your heart grow fonder.

I had an ifthar with him today. before he goes back to his hometown for Raya break.
just a few hours, and splendidly I treasure and try not to miss out any second or any moment of it.
I miss him so much.
while passing by the PICC (Putrajaya International Convention Centre), I said

- nanti saya grad kat sini la.
- bila?
- somewhere end of 2016.
- nak saya datang ke?
-*nodded*
- saya dah naik kapal mungkin time tu...

herm. what a price to pay.

up until today, I don't know why. sometimes. I just can't have the life like the other normal girls.
especially when I'm already stuck in a Navy-Medical Student relationship.
tough man.
it's been always like

-cuti berselisih.
-dia free, aku pulak exam.
-dia busy training, aku pulak free goyang kaki.
-i don't have much time to bergayut, or borak berjam-jam on the phone like the other always did. cuz sometimes i will feel rasa bersalah bila masa study aku guna untuk bergayut, or masa tu aku boleh buat something yang lebih berfaedah.
- and thank God, he hates Skype soo much! haha! <--- time saver!

even for my Mid-course assessment ni, punya laaa dilemma nak decide, nak keluar dengan dia tu kejappp je. hati malaikat cakap kena balik cepat-cepat sebab aku nak balik study, and even during the iftaar, makan depan dia aku selak notes. macam biasa. hati syaithon cakap, nak stay lama lagi sebab lama tak jumpaaaa.

but I rather choose the first opt. and even he understand me wanna study for the exam. :)

ironically, no matter what happen.I choose to stay. not to leave him.
cuz for me, I'll never give up or surrender until at least my suffering is paid off.
God fate?
yeah I decide, and Allah let it happen.


until when? I don't know. I'll rest my case to God.


I miss home now. seriously.

iftaar recipe- prawn thermidor

salam Ramadhan ke-14.
haa macam I dah janji semalam, today nak bg resipi yang aku dah try sepanjang ramadhan utk berbuka.
semua biasa-biasa je mcm orang lain buat.
but this one, paling ramai orang tanya resipi macam mana nak buat.
actually, tgk rupa mcam kelas kat hotel2 je punya serving, *pehh perasann,hentikan lisa*
HAHAH... ok abaikan ayat itu. takde, nak katanya...
resipi ni kira macam moderned version of tauhu sumbat.
this is tauhu based food.
resipi asal my own aunt yg bagi, 'tauhu tulip' dia letak nama.
but for me myself, since resipe tu aku ubah sikti2 sebab tauhu yang siap digoreng utk letak dlm mee kari tu aku tak beli, sebab Chinese made and I wasn't that sure bout its halal, so aku guna tahu biasa jer ganti tauhu tu.
so dari tauhu tulip dh jadi macam bentuk bunga teratai je. hahah
and aku pun ade buat a few adjustment sikit to the filling, and aku nak patenkan resipi ni dgn nama baru..
PRAWN THERMIDOR.
apesal thermidor?
sebab ni inspirasi dari crab thermidor yang aku makan kt restoren feveret aku kat Cyberjaya yang rupa lebih kurang macam prawn thermidor aku ni.

so here goes the recipe:


PRAWN THERMIDOR

6 biji tauhu 
50g isi ayam-dicincang
50g isi udang-dicincang
lada hitam- dikisar
1 sudu kecil serbuk kari
1 sudu kecil serbuk cili
1biji telur
1 sudu besar tepung jagung
garam secukup rasa 
minyak untuk menggoreng


cara-cara membuatnya:

1. panaskan minyak, potong tauhu yang petak tu kepada dua bahagian secara menyilang. (so you'll get bentuk segitiga) goreng tauhu sehingga garing keemasan. angkat, dan sejukkan.
2. tauhu yang dah disejukkan tu, di korek isinya dan himpun dalam satu bekas. jangan buang,sebab nanti akan digunakan untuk buat inti.
3. kulit tauhu yang dah dikorek isinya tu, terbalikkan. (the side yg ada isi tauhu tu kat luar, and the side yg goreng kuning keemasan tu kat dalam). then you'll get bentuk cup.
3.  hancurkan isi tauhu. in this case, saya ramas pakai tangan je.
4.isi udang dan ayam yang dah dicincang sebentar td, cmpurkan dengan isi tauhu tadi.
5. masukkan serbuk kari, serbuk cili, lada hitam dan garam. gaul sebati.
6. inti yang dah sebati digaul tu dimasukkan kedalam kulit tauhu yang dah jadi cup tadi.
7.sumbat padat-padat.
8. panaskan minyak. telangkupkan cup tu semasa masukkan dalam kuali untuk menggoreng.
9. goreng sehingga warna bertukar menjadi warna keemasan.
10. siap untuk dihidang.

raya cookies fever recipe!

salam peeps.

mesti wondering kan pesal lah doc lisa yg schumel ni buat biskut raya awal sangat, while actually. my class is scheduled to be started on 7/8 and only malam raya nanti baru balik rumah for cuti raya, mana nak sempat buat biskut raya dah kan.so sementara sill ada kt rumah ni, baik gunakan masa yang ada, dari ai membuta xsedar diri sepanjang hari  untuk buat biskut raya. lagi pun kesian lahh kat my Mom yang sensorang bersilat nak buat kuih raya kan. thus, I helped her out to make 2 types of biskut raya. choc-based of course. cuz I am a choc lover!

prinsip aku memasak senang je, asal aku rasa sedap and aku suka makan, I'll do it. tak kiralah sesusah mana pun benda tu nak jadi. complicated ker, rumit ke, letak tepi. asal dapat pe yang aku nak makan! xde nyusah orang and aku puas hati bila buat sendiri dapat makan ulang-ulang kali tambah. haa untungkan bila boleh masak or buat something tu on your own? heheh

so semalam bake out 2 cookies semalaman. Cadburry Chocoflakes and Hazelnut Buttercookies! haa tempted tak dengar nama cookies tu? sila cakap anda TEMPTED.  hahaha! here now, aku nak share recipe how to do these cookies sebab some of my friend do ask bout the recipe :)


HAZELNUT BUTTERCOOKIES

you need:

250g butter (buttercup sebijik tu)
160g brown sugar
340g all purposed flour
70g corn starch (tepung jagung)
100g hazelnut (crashed)
70g chocolate chips
a pinch of salt
a pinch of soda bicarbonate

how to do:
1. mix the butter with the brown sugar
2. put the flour and corn starch
3. put in hazelnut together with chocolate chips, salt and soda bicarbonate
4. shape the cookies by using hands.
5. bake the cookies for 10-15minutes in heated oven 180◦C

*sebenarnya piping choc atas cookies tu sendiri punya materpiece, nak buat takpe, xnak ikut suke..sebab ada choc lebih utk bagi lebih menarik, xde laa dull sangat biskut tu kan..  :)

tapi kalau nak buat mcm resipi sayer nih, tunggu biskut tu dah betul-betul sejuk dulu(semalaman pun takpe) then susun atas redai, pipe la ikut suka hati. hehehe~
estimation : dapat 112 biji utk satu adunan


CADBURRY CHOCOFLAKES

you need:

450g cornflakes
450g cooking chocolate
a bar of Cadburry chocolate (kalau nak tukar pakai coklat lain pun boleh juga)
papercup
colorful beads as decoration (beads? pergh habis tinggi vocab nih LOL)

how to do it:
1. melt the chocolates (Cadburry+cooking choc) using double boil method.
(double boil = masukkan coklat dalam satu periuk, then masukkan periuk tu dalam satu periuk air then heat atas dapur sampailah coklat tu cair)
2. pour in the cornflakes until sebati.
 3.put into the papercup and tabur manik-manik colorful tu.

*note: tak payah bakar sebab nanti choc tu keras and sejuk sendiri. wee~
estimation : dapat 125 biji utk satu adunan

HOYEAH! DAH SIAP DUA JENIS BISKUT RAYA! :D
